As a freelancer or home based business owner you should plan your business and time very meticulously, because there is no one to see your progress, you are the boss of your organization. You must remember why you have started your business at home. Because you wanted to become your own boss and able to work from home and yet remain with your loved ones. So to take care of your financial side in the comfort of home, you should have proper time management.

Set Priorities
As a freelancer or home based business owner you should set your priorities both at work and your home. Being Punctual
Once you have become a freelance writer or home based business owner you should have a separate office in your home with closed door. You should have your office time table. You should get up and get ready, dress up as if you are going to an outside office. This will help you to get off from causal approach towards your home job. No pajamas. Proper dress code, and attend your home office in time, closed the doors of your office so that you are not distracted. A successful man always maintains punctuality. You should politely tackle the situation and make them understand your office hours. This is very essential; you should avoid interruption, for your efficiency. This will help you to go as per your schedule and you will not have backlogs.

As a freelancer writer or home based business owner, you should always have a proactive approach, which help you to reduce mistakes and helps your time management. You should able to analyze and take proactive steps not preventive steps. Once you manage your time properly then you need not do fire fighting jobs, which creates stress and increases mistakes, reduces your efficiency.

Being Flexible
Since you are the boss with proper time management, you can be bit flexible in your time table some times. When required you can deliver your projects before time as your clients requirements. Providing for relaxation
With proper time management you can take liberty to have a small nap, which will recharge you. After a hectic job or on completion of a project successful, you should reward your self with a glass of wine or an outing with your family.
